(1) Large nozzle injection mold
The runner and the gate are on the parting line, and they are demolded together with the product when the mold is opened. The plan is simple, easy to process, and the cost is low, so more people use the large nozzle system.
(2) Fine nozzle injection mold
The runner and gate are not on the parting line, and are usually directly on the product. Therefore, an additional set of nozzle parting lines should be planned. The planning is more messy and the processing is more difficult. Generally, a thin nozzle system is selected according to the product requirements.
(3) Warm runner injection mold
The structure of this type of injection mold is generally the same as that of the sprue. The major difference is that the runner is located in one or more warm runner plates and hot nozzles with constant temperature. There is no cold material demoulding, and the runner and gate are directly on the product. Therefore, the flow channel does not need to be demolded. This system is also known as the nozzleless system, which can save raw materials. It is suitable for the situation where the raw materials are more expensive and the product requirements are higher. The planning and processing are difficult and the mold cost is high.
